Packaged Units in Southwest Florida
This type of air conditioning system features a single cabinet containing all of the vital parts. These include the condenser, compressor, and evaporator. The packaged unit is often placed on a roof. The alternative is a split system wherein the evaporator coil and sensitive electronics are located inside while the condenser and compressor are located outside. Each of these has their own advantages and disadvantages.
Quick and Cheap Installation
Packaged air conditioners are complete systems assembled at a factory. They benefit from the increased precision in the controlled environment. Everything will work right out of the box unlike split systems which will have to be assembled onsite. They are even pre-charged with refrigerant so installation is quick, easy, and cheap. It can be completed right away so there is minimal disruption in the household or the business. The volume of space taken up by the unit is also quite small. This unit is especially good in a smaller space where the powerful cooling technology can be best utilized.
